The Bullet 180 coaxial is the perfect in-boat addition to compliment Bullet tower speakers. From the spoked grills to the carbon fiber midbass cones, all Bullet speakers have a family appearance.
The 180 coaxial is tuned precisely for the open air environment of a ski or towboat. This includes a little extra kick in the treble to compete with the wind and engine noise. The 180 coaxial also feature an oversized 7.7″ midbass cone. Even an additional ¼ inch diameter in the midbass cone can translate to a 15% increase in surface area. And in the open air of marine, surface area rules! So you’ll get impressive midbass punch from a Bullet.
The 180′s coaxial dome tweeter is ferrofluid cooled and utilizes a second order crossover (both a capacitor and inductor) for a smoother response and a better protected tweeter. Only high grade mylar capacitors are used in series crossover applications (versus the standard electrolytic) which exhibit superior high frequency characteristics.
The Bullet coaxial uses a synthetic composition spider to align and damp the midbass cone (versus the treated cotton spiders used in most car stereo coaxials). A rugged butyl rubber surround provides the maximum resistance to marine elements such as UV and mildew.
